Professor Lu, manager of the Laser Microprocessing Laboratory at the National University of Singapore, investigated and developed methods and systems for laser material processing, especially in the microelectronics and magnetic storage technology sectors.

Alongside his acclaimed scientific work he is also particularly committed to the commercialization of these highly innovative technologies.
