The Suhrkamp Verlag was the most influential publishing house in belles lettres and humanities during the second half of the 20th century in the Federal Republik of Germany and its archives are an essential part of the national cultural heritage. This large scale project is fostered by the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung. | ||||||||
It also facilitated the acquisition of the literary estate of the author Erich Kästner, as well as his letters for the German Literary Archives.
