Since 2000, scientists and engineers have been able to apply for the innovation prize Berthold Leibinger Innovationspreis.

Since 2006, the research prize, Berthold Leibinger Zukunftspreis, from the Berthold Leibinger Stiftung has been honoring milestones in research on the application or generation of laser light.
