The first award ceremony held on November 26, 2000, firmly established this event as a celebration of science and innovations and as a popular meeting
place for the laser world. Every two years, it becomes the setting for a meeting of pioneers with developers, the interested with enthusiasts.
It now has a fixed place in the calendar and is held on the third Friday in September of every even-numbered year.
